Entire Brand Identity & Website for Recruitment Start-up: Marchwood

About the client:

Marchwood is a start-up recruitment agency founded in 2024, specialising in building service design recruitment.

The problem:

The Founder came to us with a dream, a blank slate…and not much else. No name. No brand. No website. Just a vision to build a standout recruitment agency from the ground up - and the good sense to know he needed a creative partner to make it happen.

Our Solution:

We stepped in as Marchwood’s strategic and creative co-pilot, from naming workshops and brand storytelling to designing a sharp, high-converting website. Every touchpoint was crafted to position the business as trustworthy, established, premium, and quietly confident (even on day one). Because when you're building a brand from scratch, every detail matters - and we don’t do generic.

FIRST STEPS

Ah, the magical world of brand identity. One of our favourite realms to roam. It’s like building a personality for your business. One that turns heads, sparks conversations, and makes people say, “Oof, I love their vibe.”

We kicked things off with the soul-searching phase: a deep dive into the founder’s ambitions, target market, purpose, vision, and point of difference. From there, we explored naming routes that felt classic yet contemporary. Something that would hold its own in a saturated market. Once “Marchwood” was born, the real fun began: crafting a brand identity from the inside out.

We built the foundations with:

  • A tagline that captured the essence

  • A tone of voice with just the right edge

  • Messaging pillars to anchor every conversation

  • An elevator pitch that actually makes people lean in

  • Core values that weren't just fluff, but functional

Once the strategy was locked in, we rolled up our sleeves and dove into the sexy stuff; the part that makes people feel something.

  • Logo design that speaks without saying a word

  • Typography with personality (and purpose)

  • A colour palette that sets the mood and owns the room

  • An imagery style that feels fresh, modern, and unmistakably them

  • Graphic elements and iconography to tie it all together

And, of course, brand guidelines to keep everything beautifully on-brand, everywhere.

NEXT STEPS

With the brand identity locked and loaded, we rolled it out across a sleek, user-friendly website designed to convert both clients and candidates. We also crafted on-brand copy, created reusable content templates, and provided a toolkit to ensure consistency as the business scaled. Basically, we handed over the keys to a fully-formed, ready-to-launch brand, that felt like it was well established.

Marchwood launched with a polished, professional brand that looked (and felt) like a market leader. The founder now has a brand that opens doors, builds trust, and lays the foundation for long-term growth. And because we built everything to scale, Marchwood’s got room to grow without needing to rebrand six months down the line.

First impressions? Nailed.
