Not Boutique Agency of the Year. Not a runner-up, a highly-commended, or a "lovely to have you." The whole. Damn. Thing. British Marketing Agency of the Year 2026. The overall crown. The big one.

We're going to need a moment.

Right. We're back. (We were not fine. We are still not fine. There was happy-crying of the kind that frightens small children and ruins mascara.)

Magenta MAD has been named British Marketing Agency of the Year 2026. Overall. Top of the pile. The main event. Not a category carve-out. THE award. The one every agency in the country was gunning for, won by a boutique team you could fit around one slightly-too-small table in Costa. What the actual f...

Let that sink in, because we're still trying to.

This wasn't "best agency that's small and tries hard, bless them." We went up against agencies from every discipline and every size bracket in Britain (big names, deep pockets, the lot) and the judges handed the top prize to the fully-remote, self-funded, aggressively-transparent little marketing agency that only works in two niches and publishes its prices on its own website like a lunatic.

What the judges actually said.

We're not going to paraphrase this, because we've got it framed in our hearts already. Here's the jury, verbatim:

"Thought this was really clear in what they achieved for the client as well as their ethos around themselves as a company."

Two things in one sentence. What we achieved for the client, AND our ethos as a company. Which is a rather lovely way of saying: the work is brilliant AND you're not horrible people. Reader, we will take that to our graves.

Let's talk about the campaign the judges couldn't ignore.

Lawspeed is a specialist recruitment law firm, going strong since 1997. All the expertise in the world, and somehow the best-kept secret in their sector. Our brief: fix it. Reposition them as the authority they actually are, and build a marketing engine they'd own outright.

The "catch"? Zero ad budget. Just our retainer and a flat refusal to pay our way to the top of Google. So we did it the hard way; the organic way. Technical SEO, keyword-intent landing pages, content that turned dry regulatory changes into genuinely must-read material, a social strategy that dragged their founder's profile from dormant to industry voice, lead magnets, email, web copy rebuilt to actually convert, and two in-person seminars for good measure.

Twelve months later:

  • 135% growth in active website users; up to 17,000

  • 345,000 search impressions

  • Traffic spikes of up to 779% on key content

  • 224% jump in direct enquiries (website form fills)

  • 23k impressions on a founder LinkedIn profile that started from nothing

  • Company page impressions up 78%, direct engagement up 50%

We saved them tens of thousands in ad spend by building a self-sustaining lead engine they now own.

That's not "a few blogs and some posts for £3k a month." That's marketing that earns its place, with the receipts to prove it. And for far less than £3k a month we might add.

The ethos the judges spotted.

Here's the bit we're quietly proudest of, because the judges saw it too.

We built this agency to be the opposite of everything that put agencies in the doghouse. First, we're aggressively transparent. Our pricing is published openly, from £1,280 + VAT a month, alongside a transparency pledge, right there on our website, in an industry famous for hidden fees, vague retainers, and a lack of communication.

We fight for the small and ambitious businesses that can just about afford to outsource marketing but have nothing left for pay-to-play; so we became known for getting the best organic results in the business.

And, we built a company people actually want to work for. Fully remote, flexible, run by grown-ups for grown-ups. A place that's safe and welcoming - to staff, clients and suppliers alike - because the founder spent a career in rooms that were anything but, and swore hers would be different.

Turns out "do brilliant work and be decent about it" isn't a soft option. It's a winning strategy. Who knew. (We did. We're just delighted a national jury agrees.)

A word from the accidental founder.

Yes, accidental. Magenta MAD was started by accident. She went freelance, and was so in demand she had hired two freelancers by month three; and four years later is standing here as the founder of British Marketing Agency of the Year.

"I started this with a laptop, a grudge, and a stubborn belief that I could run a marketing agency that was honest, kind, and absolutely lethal at getting results. To win British Marketing Agency of the Year - the actual overall award, against the whole industry - is the loudest possible 'yes' to that bet. This one's for my team, who are the actual magic, and for every client who chose to put their faith in us. We did this together."

- Jayde Pope, Founder, Magenta MAD

To the team and the clients.

We do the jokes because we mean the sincerity underneath them, so here it is, straight:

To the team: the employee and freelancers who write at 11pm because that's when their brilliance peaks, who show up to the video calls and the strategy days and, yes, the ill-advised cabaret - you are the agency. This trophy has all your names on it.

To our clients: you bet on a small, loud, magenta agency over the safe, big, beige option. You are the reason a national jury knows our name. You didn't hire a supplier; you backed a belief. And look what we built together.

We're British Marketing Agency of the Year. And we're absolutely not done.
